We Were Thrilled To Find Some New Treatments For Prostate Cancer As They Were Very Effective

By Jeremy V. Yargeer

When I heard that my father had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, I was quite concerned about him, so I decided to learn everything I could about alternatives to traditional therapies, and my search let me to some new treatments for prostate cancer. I was surprised to find that there were a ton of ideas in alternative medicine about ways to treat prostate cancer as well as ideas of how to prevent it. I searched through all of the different alternative treatments, and there was one that seemed great so I quickly went and told my dad about prostate cancer hormone therapy.

I looked into the prostate cancer hormone therapy, and I saw that it controls and prevents testosterone, which cancer cells always use to multiply. I was optimistic about this treatment working for my dad because he was diagnosed early, and the cancer had not had time yet to spread, and the hormonal therapy could prevent that from happening.

However, even within the range of treatments that are part of hormonal therapy, there are a bunch of options, and I left it up to my dad and his doctors to decide exactly what they wanted to do and how they wanted to do it. I was quite pleased though, that my dad actually listened to me and did look into the new treatments for prostate cancer and had an open mind about alternative medicine, rather than just relying on the normal harsh invasive treatments.

My dad began the prostate cancer hormonal therapy, and it went really well and before long, the doctors gave us the wonderful news that the cancer had stopped growing. With some other treatments, the cancer ultimately went into remission and he was soon on the mend, making our fears for his health dissipate.

Even though my dad had overcome the disease, I felt inspired to fill my mind with knowledge about fresh ideas so that I could feel empowered and help men like my father, who will be forced to confront the unpleasant reality of prostate cancer at some point after they become middle aged. I'm heading off to college pretty soon, and I figure that I am going to be a pre-med major, and I hope to eventually go to medical school, where I can learn to practice medicine and do my part to further the knowledge of alternative medicines and help people.
