Is Dr. Tung's Tongue Scraper Any Good?

By Lisa Romolaski

There are a diversity of tongue scrapers on the market. Some comprised of synthetic material, some are made of rubber, and some are made of metal or stainless steel. Although I could't say that I have used them all, Dr. Tung's tongue scraper is the top one that I have ever owned. It's what I regularly use nowadays ever since the day I bought one several years ago. I will give you some reasons why.

To begin with, the shape of Dr. Tungs tongue scraper is a U. This gives it the ability to turn and bend, fitting to the shape of your tongue so that it gets to the back of your tongue with no difficulty. You'll see that many competing tongue scrapers either do not reach the back of your mouth, or make it unpleasant, but Dr Tungs tongue scraper gets the job done with no difficulty.

The smooth exterior of Dr Tungs tongue scrapper furthermore makes it simple to scrape the bacteria in the rear of your tongue (this is what is the cause of bad breath) without damaging your tongue's tissue. Your tongue is a vulnerable organ and the wrong apparatus could harm the external layers of your tongue by causing it to be rough and inflamed.

The handles on Dr Tungs tongue scraper are a good addition as well. They principally make it chiefly simple to apply pressure to the device, let you adjust based on where you are in your mouth (the rear of your tongue is by and large wider than the tip).

Most dental professionals will inform you that regular use of a tongue scraper is far more beneficial than mouthwash, which actually ends up drying up your mouth and makes it easier for microbes to reproduce on the back of your tongue. A tongue scraper removes these microorganisms and directly gets rid of the source of bad breath as opposed to masking it with a minty odor.
