Understand How to Gain your Meeting with Women on Online Dating Websites

By Roger Donnelly

When trying to find a date over the internet, there are special rules of mannerism that a guy needs to be aware of. This obviously does not mean that you have to change yourself, although it definitely does signify that you need to ascertain what is decent social behavior and what will be considered objectionableon the dating site

You could potentially go online to a dating community and pretend to be an absolute meanie or a imbecile, but how would that help? It's true you are anonymous and are talking from behind your on screen persona, but you can certainly still hope to meet women with class by behaving in a classy way yourself.

Here's a few basic internet dating etiquette that you should know about speaking with women online.

1. As you are dating online you will find women that just don't catch your interest. When you have a message from anyone that you just would rather not spend time exchanging messages with, it is desirable to just ignore them. This unfortunately is the simplest thing to do, but not the best thing.

When you are contacted by ladies that you don't feel drawn to, just send them a one liner that states this with the utmost of respect. Most ladies would rather know this so they can look elsewhere, instead of than frequently thinking about if yougot the post and spending time posting countless messages.

2. It's not always a good idea to ask personal questions. Would it be acceptable to ask her about her personal life as you are dating on the net? When you are starting to get to know someone, you will want to avoid asking anything like "Who do you work for?" or "Can I have your last name?" or "What is your phone number?"

Sometimes there is an obvious opportunity for this kind of information after you have spent a while talking to a specific woman, then there is a possibility where it can crop up au natural. That is perfect, but try not to force such queries in unnatural ways.

As you are speaking with her, you should work on creating between the two of you a sense of trust and an attraction. If you ask for personal information too soon, she might get suspicious or turned off.

3. Be honest. Avoid lying at any time whether it is during the profile creation or the actual communication. It's not unusual for people to lie about their age or body, but these are lies that will be found out. In the end, it will just hurt you when she finds out about your lies and you end up having to justify them. That's a situation you don't want to get yourself into. Liars are a thing to be avoided in our society.

4. Put sex talk off to the side. You might be looking for a one night thing and she might share the desire, but allow her be the one to mention it first. Try to create some faith and a connection of friendships and let this come out of that naturally.

5. When looking for a date in the cyber world, do not fall into the category of a pest. You may obviously like a woman from her profile, but don't post messages frequently if she is has not responded. She may not be into you or there are perhaps other issues distracting her in her personal life. Wait one week and write the next message, then don't send anymore.

It is okay to email a second time just to make sure, but it would be a good idea to wait for at least a week. You don't want to be pushy.

Online dating etiquette is about good manners and good behavior as you are talking to other members. Following good etiquette will make dating websites a better place to be, and everyone can win from it.
