How Charity Can Deepen Your Spiritual Growth

By John Chritstiansen

A majority of us have the inclining to help our fellow man whenever we find that we are in the position to do so. It is something that God placed within us and for a good reason too. It is not all of us who will help others where we can but it is almost a necessity as a social being to want to help others.

There are a lot of people who will never part with anything that they have to help somebody else because they just want more and more materialistic things. The truth behind the curtain however is that most of these people are never happy and even worse, die lonely with all their riches.

Those who have realized it however know that the best place to find pleasure that lasts a lifetime and speaks volumes about you even when you are gone is in helping those who are less fortunate. You will always notice that those who are always doing one thing or the other to help those less fortunate than them always seem to have a smile on their face.

If you consider yourself a social being then it should only come as natural to you that whenever you see another fellow being suffering through something you can change then you should help.

If you have not noticed by now, there are so many rich people who are donating large chunks of their fortunes to those who have very little so that they too may lead decent lives. These are very humble acts on their part and they deserve to be acknowledged even if just with a simple thank you certificate from the community.

If you are moved by this you are now probably wondering how you can do your part and the solution is pretty simple. There are myriads of non profitable charity organizations that you can use.

If this is not the route you want to take then you can independently go out and do your own kind of social work to help others.

It doesn't always have to be about giving money, think of any way that you are willing and able to show someone you care and just do it.
