How To Live Your Life Post-Breakup

By Steven Sawyer

A question you may likely end up asking yourself one day is "How come I am being dumped?" You will agonize about what you did or did not do that should cause you this trouble.

You got to take it slow and focus on regaining that lost control over your life. Forget about that breakup and see what you are even after the break up. Quit whining about the past.

To deal with breakups, try out these few ideas to get along well.

The last thing you should be thinking about is getting into a rebound relationship. This will only inflict more pain. It will not help you deal with the immediate loss suffered. In fact, no healing comes from rebounds.

When you go into a rebound relationship, there is great chance that you will go on a comparing spree. Today the new one boyfriend is better...tomorrow you think your ex is better. This vicious cycle kills the point.

A good way to let go of some feelings is to write. You can start writing away the hurt through poems. Let your feelings mix with your pen and write them as they are. You can write sad poems if you have to. The trick is that writing will likely let out some feelings better than crying ever does.

To heal a broken heart, a lot of time and effort needs to be invested. You need to start being patient and spending more time than usual with your friends. Treat yourself and eat out, go shopping and if need be, you can make plans to go to a quiet location on vacation.

On average, healing a broken heart would be a tough test. It's not a finger click thing. The problem is you cannot wish away the hurt too. You need to let it settle over time. Therefore, spend moments with your friends, eat out more often and pamper yourself.
