How To Choose A Greenhouse

By Gina Harrington

Do people really need green houses? Yes people have many uses for them such as growing vegetables, flowers and protection of their plants in winter. Since most of these are for subsistence use such people only require small structures which can fit in their backyards and their homes.

When one need to grow flowers and plants all year for sale one needs a big commercial size green house. Greenhouses come in different sizes and styles depending on their use.

A green house can be permanent or temporal structure. This determined by the type of materials used as to put it up as many different materials can be used. A temporal structure is usually mobile and the permanent green houses are fixed to other structures.

A temporary structure will need to be light for it to be mobile hence it requires to be made from light materials such as aluminum which has a light weight nature.

Dome green houses are very sturdy. This is a style of green houses which is usually a semi-circle set on the ground and is the best choice of a green house in areas where there is a lot of snow falls. Its shape makes it look feeble but it's actually the strongest kind that can be made.

How much does it cost to erect this free standing structure? It will cost one a little more at the start due to amount of panels and materials it requires. But not to worry as it pays off since it has a longer life than others.

Another style of the green house is a structure which is not free standing but is attached to another structure such as house. Such a style is the gable green house.

How then does a gable look like and what factors determine the type of green house one chooses? Its appears as a half a gable house and amount of space available, individual needs and the size one requires are the determining factors one considers.
