Creative First Date Settings

By Britt White

The first date is always a really interesting scenario. Depending upon how you met the person and how well you know them, the first few hours spent with them on this date can be a make or break scenario that either sets the tone for a great relationship, or quickly causes things to fizzle out.

If so much matters when it comes to a first date, you should make every effort to ensure that you get it right. After all, a well planned date could easily lead to another one.

Most importantly, you'll want to choose something that provides a great atmosphere that makes things fun, and gives you an easy means of communicating with your date.

As far as places like these go, I have a few ideas. I would recommend trying any of these out if you're at a loss for ideas. If you're a male looking to make a female date feel comfortable and enjoy herself, any of these will work.

One fun idea is to go to a live event. Whether it's something like a comedy club or a coffee shop with live music, you might not be able to talk much while you're there, but you'll have plenty to discuss once it's done.

Your date will also like the fact that you went out of your way to be creative and original. Experiences like these always add the aura of excitement to a relationship.

Another great idea is mini golf. Everyone loves a fun game like this. Unlike my suggestion above, you'll be able to communicate with one another very easily, as there won't be much noise around you.

One more great idea is a picnic during the day. If you have a park or outdoor area nearby, pick up some sandwiches or make them yourself, and pick up a bottle of wine or any other beverage. There's nothing like enjoying some good food and nice weather with great new company.
