Acne Tips And Tricks For Clearer Skin

By Kathryne Hugh Scottie

For someone with moderate to severe acne on their face and back, having their picture taken or being in front of large groups of people can cause panic and a loss of confidence. Fortunately, these tips and tricks for controlling acne are sure to leave your face and body clear, smooth, and free from acne.

It is important to remember not to touch acne prone skin with your hands on a frequent basis. Doing so will spread germs and infection, perhaps leading to worsening acne problems. Remember that acne prone skin is already sensitive and possibly broken. If you must touch it, do so with clean hands, and wash your hands afterwards.

If you are looking to treat acne or pimples on your upper arms, stay away from strong acne treatments. The skin on the upper arms does not have as many oil glands as the skin on the face, so using a strong acne product on them could cause redness and irritation.

Use less products on your face when trying to clear acne up. This is the kind of attitude to have when you are trying to eliminate acne. Using different types of products can irritate your skin and make it worse. Don't wear makeup, but if you do choose brands that are non-comedogenic.

If you are trying to prevent and treat acne, you should not sleep face down. Most people do not realize that this is very bad for your skin and can make acne breakouts continue. If you sleep on your back then your face will not rub into the pillow all night transfering bacteria to your face and back.

Throw out old makeup and makeup brushes. They can both breed bacteria and wreak havoc on your skin. The bacteria that builds up can end up on your skin and cause clogged pores and acne. It is best to replace your makeup every 12 months and brushes every 6 months.

Instead of allowing acne to take over your life, why not use the advice in this article as a starting point for clearer and more toned skin? Follow these tips and tricks and you will begin to notice that your skin is developing an improved appearance, texture, and more even coloration.
