Help For Those Tired Of Struggling With Acne

By Renay Schlehuber Abete

Acne can be profoundly irritating, and it can affect you at any age. It has a myriad of potential causes. Fortunately, the array of treatment options available to you is nearly as vast. Regardless of its cause, your acne issue may respond well to some of the possible treatments outlined below:

Many people aren't aware how much their diet affects their skin and their acne. If you are having breakouts you should try to avoid greasy foods or things with caffine such as coffee or soda. Also make sure you are maintaining proper amounts of vitamins and minerals so that your skin has the power to fight with it's natural defenses.

A great way to help you get rid of acne is to pour a few drops of hydrogen peroxide right on your pimple or affected area. Hydrogen peroxide helps get rid of acne by drying it out. Your acne will be much less noticeable because there'll be no bump.

Avoid eating a lot of meat if you have problems with acne. Animal meat is filled with hormones, especially meat from factory farmed animals. When you intake the hormones from meat, it disrupts your own hormone balance and causes acne breakouts. Instead, get your protein from non-animal sources such as nuts, seeds, legumes, tofu, and others.

Taking antibiotics to help treat your acne can be a huge help, but make sure you balance your body's systems back out by ingesting both Probiotics and Prebiotics as well. You can find supplements in health food stores, and many grocery items like yogurt now have added Probiotics and Prebiotics as well.

Try washing with borax instead of soap or body wash to battle acne on the face and back. Borax can be found in the laundry section of the grocery store and is effective in killing fungus and bacteria. It is a very gentle cleanser that is excellent for individuals with sensitive skin. It has a slight graininess that gently exfoliates while you wash.

You should never think of acne as inevitable. While some of its causes are beyond your control, some are issues that you can address or even resolve. It may not even require much effort for you to treat a lot of the underlying causes of your acne. Tips like the ones presented above can help you put yourself in control of your acne situation.
